You can board the Platte Valley Trolley and take a 25-minute open-air riverfront ride between Confluence Park and the Children's Museum. You can watch kayakers splash, surf, and spin through rapids, or rent kayaking equipment and join them.
The Cherry Creek Arts Festival held in early July features works by more than 200 artists from around the world. Also, do not miss the Dragon Boat Festival, a traditional Asian cultural event that celebrates the ancient sport of racing very colorful dragon boats.
