About This Quiz

Convertibles, (also known as cabriolets) are vehicles that can change from enclosed cars to open-air ones, hence the name convertible.

These cars have evolved so much over time, initially having foldable textile roofs, to now having full metal retractable ones. In between those two, there were the detachable hardtops, which had to be stored in the trunk of the vehicle while driving with the top down.

Because the roof is one of the most important features of a convertible, we'll take a closer look at them. When it came to the textile roof, it offered more ventilation and visibility, but it wasn't all that safe, nor was it a great deterrent for thieves.

The detachable hardtops were very popular during the '50s  and were great when it came to durability, at least when compared to the textile covers. On the downside, it still wasn't all that when it came to time management and if the rain decided to fall spontaneously.

The current retractable hardtop goes backward and forward at the touch of a button and is very convenient above what was previously offered.

The tops of these cars are what make them so great and so expensive. Have you studied them enough to name them from just a picture?
