As a teenager, we're often asked about what we want to be when we graduate high school or college. While some people will move on to retail jobs, others will seek trade schools so that they can learn how to be a plumber, electrician or mechanic. The rest will attend colleges and get degrees that they hope will set them apart from the millions of other people with degrees. 

When considering jobs, we're asked to think about what we see ourselves doing for the next 50 years. Some people will decide that they're happy working on a computer. Others will realize that they like moving around and meeting different people. We also have to determine if we want consistency or a new adventure every day. 

We don't always think about it, but our personality plays a huge role in determining our potential career choices and ultimately the one we choose to pursue for the rest of our lives. Occasionally, the career we pursue isn't the one people assumed we would because it doesn't fit their idea of who we are, yet that is what makes us good at our jobs.
