A lot of people, whether from the United States or other parts of the world, think that Australia and New Zealand are pretty much the same thing, and there aren't many differences between the two countries at all. 

After all, they are both incredibly gorgeous countries in the same part of the world, and the people that live in both countries have really cool accents, and that is all that counts, right? But the thing is, nothing could be farther from the truth. 

There are all sorts of differences between New Zealand and Australia. The size of the countries in itself is huge, but of course, there are also many things culturally that are different as well. And there are other differences too; for example, one country has lots of snakes and deserts, while another is filled with lakes and glaciers.
