“I mean, it’s sort of exciting, isn’t it? Breaking the rules.”
From the day we first met Hermione Granger in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," we've been enthralled by her brilliance, inspired by her bravery and encouraged by her loyalty to justice and those she considers family. In both the film and the book series, Hermione is a character who boldly goes in the direction of truth, integrity and righteousness. She is quick to research and take on the biggest challenges, and her staggeringly impressive memory can make even the most experienced procrastinator want to hit the books.
While it may not seem like it, there are a few differences between the Hermione Granger we see in the Harry Potter books and the version that made it onto the big screen. Fans will be quick to point out omissions, like SPEW and the famous scene from book one where Hermione, after realizing they are trapped in Devil's Snare, temporarily forgets that she is a witch. Both versions of the character have impressive traits and characteristics, and both are worth imitating for different reasons. Take this quiz to find out if you're more like book Hermione or movie Hermione.
