About This Quiz

Who's the better "Red Dead Redemption" protagonist – John Marston or Arthur Morgan? A lot of internet ink has been spilled answering this question, and with good reason. The fact is, Arthur Morgan and John Marston are both fantastic characters. However, their greatness manifests in very different ways.

The original "Red Dead Redemption" protagonist, John Marston has a sarcastic cynicism that can be very, very funny. Like when he says, "It ain't exactly a secret I didn't get these scars from falling over in church." He's a gunslinger who's also a family man, and it's hard not to relate to John's frustration with the ne'er-do-wells in his world. On the other hand, "Red Dead Redemption 2" protagonist Arthur Morgan just has so much heart. Despite his difficult circumstances, Arthur is a man of honor, fighting for the right thing no matter what it costs him.

So, what do you think? Do you respect John more, or are you an Arthur fan? Even more importantly, which one are you more like? That's what this quiz can help you find out! Answer our questions about your facial hair, crazy mentor-handling skills and horse preferences, and we'll reveal whether your vibe is John Marston AF or very Arthur Morgan. Ready? Let's play!
