Although it had a strange shape (often called the clown shoe) the M Coupe was another winner from BMW in the 1990s. Released in 1998, the first generation was powered by a 3.2-liter straight-six engine.

First marketed in Europe as the Hillman Avenger, this four-door small family car received Chrysler branding from 1976 to 1979. Interestingly, from 1971 to 1973, before it received its Chrysler badge for the European market, it was sold in America as the Plymouth Cricket. Three models of the Avenger were available to the motoring public - LS, GL and GLS

The 503, a two-door two-seater came in the form of a coupe or cabriolet. It was produced by BMW between 1956 and 1959 with 413 built over that period. It was aimed in particular at the US market, but saleswise, performed poorly.

The X3 is a compact crossover SUV and part of the X range. It is based on the 3-series platform and was first produced in 2003. The second generation X3 offers two petrol and two diesel engined models.

The Airflow, a full-sized Chrysler model, was available as a four-door sedan or two-door coupe. Its design incorporated the concept of streamlining, one of the first American cars to do so. Ultimately, however, the Airflow was not a particularly successful model for the company.

The Centura featured as a model of Chrysler Australia from 1975 to 1978. This four-door was a front-wheel drive, front-engine sedan. Essentially, it was a modified Chrysler 180 which featured three engine options from 2.0 liters to 3.5. liters.

The Z4 Roadster first hit the streets in 2002 and still forms part of the BMW fleet. Although the first generation included a convertible with a soft-top roof, this was changed to a retractable hardtop from the second generation onward.

Based on the Dodge Durango, the Aspen was launched in 2007. Sales of the Aspen were very poor and Chrysler quickly dropped the model after 2009.

An off-road roadster, the Z18 was a concept car from BMW in 1995. It was powered by a 4.4-liter V8 which produced 355 brake horsepower. Incredibly, the body of this vehicle was built out of plastic.

A full-sized four-door sedan, the Concorde was built from 1994 to 2004. Based on the Chrysler LH platform, two generations were made during its production run. Second-generation Concordes included a range of gas engine options, with the largest, a 3.5-liter V6. The Concorde was eventually replaced by the Chrysler 300.

Designed by the legendary Giorgetto Giugiaro, the M1 sports car was released in 1978 and built for a period of three years in which 453 were made. This was BMW's first mid-engined car and was powered by a 3.5-liter double overhead cam straight six engine. It had a top speed of 162 mph.

A little over 500 examples of this sports touring car were produced by BMW from 1962 to 1965. The 3200 Coupe was essentially seen as a 2-door grand tourer and was powered by the first-ever V8 car engine produced by the company.

Introduced in 2002, the 1-series offered BMW fans a smaller car than both the 3- and 5-series. The first generation included a hatchback, not a model type often found in the BMW range.

The Fifth Avenue badge had formed part of other Chrysler marques over the years, but between 1983 and 1993, it was its own model. They were powered by a 5.2-liter V8 engine which produced 140 brake horsepower. As Chrysler's largest car during these years, the fifth Avenue proved popular with 100,000 sold in 1985 alone.

Based on the two-seat Isetta microcar, the 600 microcar was bigger and could seat four occupants. It was the first four-person car produced in Germany after the war but was not much of a success in terms of sales. The 600 was powered by a 600cc engine.

The Conquest was essentially a rebadged Mitsubishi Starion and marketed in the United States between 1987 to 1989. This three-door coupe sports car was powered by a 2.6-liter turbocharged engine which produced 145 brake horsepower.

A two-door coupe or fastback, the Crossfire was marketed by Chrysler between 2004 and 2008. The Crossfire was designed and built during Chrysler's association with Daimler and interestingly features many Mercedes SLK parts. It was also powered by a 3.5-liter V6 AMG engine. Just over 76,000 were sold worldwide during its production run.

Produced from 1936 to 1940, the Roadster from BMW is simply beautiful. This two-seater, open top sportscar was powered by a 2.0-liter straight six engine coupled to a manual 4-speed transmission. Only 464 were built.

The Chrysler Imperial was first introduced in 1926. The model saw various updates right until 1954 before the Imperial name was discontinued. It resurfaced for a brief period in the 1990s, from 1990 till 1993.

The Voyager minivan was produced by Chrysler from 1988 till 2016. During this time, Chrysler produced five generations. The last models made had three powerplant options, two gas, the largest a 3.8-liter V6 as well as one diesel variant.

This concept car was built in small numbers. In fact, only 55 were made of which 50 were used in a designed user program. As one can tell by the name, this Chrysler model was driven by a turbine engine. Only nine remain today, of which two are in private hands.

A 3-door hatchback in the supermini class, the Sunbeam was another product from Chrysler Europe. It was based on the Hillman Avenger and was produced from 1977 to 1979. The Sunbeam had four engine options ranging from 930cc to 2.1-liter 16 V.

Part of Chrysler's offering in the mid-sized segment, the Sebring was produced between 1995 and 2010 and over three generations. It included various models including a sedan, convertible and coupe. Between 2007 and 2010 over 200,000 units were sold. It was rebadged as the Chrysler 200 in 2010.

The first full-sized car released by Chrysler, the Royal badge adorned a range of body styles including a four-door sedan and two-door convertible as well as a coupe. It was produced from 1937 to 1950.

Essentially an upmarket version of stablemate, the Dodge Laser, Chrysler's version was deemed to be the first sports car released by the company. The difference between the Dodge and Chrysler models were in trim levels only. The Laser was marketed between 1984 and 1986.

The Zagato Roadster, commonly known as the Z4, was introduced by BMW in 2009 and remained in production until 2016. This was the first BMW convertible to have an automatic hardtop roof. Part of the X-series of SUV's, the X5 was introduced by BMW in 1999 and remains in production today. This was the first SUV produced by the company. It is currently in its third generation and offers two gas and diesel powerplant options.

Although keeping with the "air" theme like another Chrysler model, the Airflow, the Airstream was not a streamlined design and was based on the 1933 Chrysler CO. And it certainly proved more popular than its more streamlined stablemate, with 5 sold to every one Airflow. A four-door notchback sedan, the Chrysler Cirrus was marketed between 1995 and 2000. The Cirrus has a few engine options with the largest a 2.5-liter V6. Two other vehicles were based on the Cirrus platform, the Dodge Stratus and the Plymouth Breeze.

The smallest of BMW's SUV models, the X1 entered the market in 2009. It is currently in its second generation which is powered by either turbo gas or diesel engines. Around 100,000 have been sold in the United States since 2012.
