About This Quiz

The UK is a land of diverse tastes in everything from food to fashion. With a population of over 66 million people scattered across over 94,000 miles, there is tremendous variation in lifestyle. Some parts of the UK are as urban as midtown Manhattan, while others feel so remote that running into a stranger is a shock. Even history divides the nation, with various cities serving as capitals of state, of industry, of religion or just of culture. The UK boasts regions with histories going back many thousands of years, marked by Neolithic structures, and areas of recent development where glittering skyscrapers dot the landscape.

With all this variation, people mark themselves out as being from specific parts of the country. People accustomed to living in the Outer Hebrides are unlikely to live, and therefore eat, much like people who live in the West End of London. This isn't just a matter of taste, but also of availability. After all, the food available to someone living in a major trading center will be different from that of someone who lives far from such places. We think we can guess what part of the UK you call home by seeing you build a sandwich. Are you ready to give our intuition a shot?
