While not everyone grows up in a house with a mom and a dad, everyone has a mom and a dad (though recent genetic experiments in mice in Korea suggest that this need not necessarily remain true forever!) 

Most people wind up with their genetic parents, but many millions live just with their mom and may not see their dad much, or vice versa. Others wind up raised by two dads, two moms, grandparents, guardians or someone else entirely.

No matter where you're born and where you're raised, though, hopefully, your biological mom and dad are good people whom you want to have in your life. Hopefully, they're a good influence, support you when you need it, and give you the confidence to figure things out for yourself when you're ready. Still, they are individuals themselves, and however you interact with them, odds are that you're going to turn out more like one than the other (unless you're that rare person who is either a perfect mix or not like either parent.) It's time to figure out exactly where you are on that spectrum.
