About This Quiz

You know what makes this world so beautiful? Sure, some likely contenders might include Earth's gorgeous scenery, colorful cuisine and the designer fashion on the runways. But we're talking about a beauty that you and everybody else around the world use on a daily basis: language. English might be a common language, but in other parts of the globe, languages like Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, Arabic and Russian are even more prevalent. Learning a new language can be a daunting or even scary task, but with a few years of practice and hard work, you'll be able to learn some new words in no time at all!

Language isn't just about the words that are spoken; it also has to do with cultural implications, gestures and manners. For example, Russian culture is known for ballet, classical music and artwork. And if you ever visit the world's largest country, we hope that you'll greet others with a very firm handshake and bring small gifts to house parties (whatever you do, don't start eating until the host instructs you to do so!). So while there is an overwhelming amount of words to memorize and cultural manners to remember, just know that this world quiz is here to provide more insight into the language you're learning!
