In 1973, author William Goldman released his classic novel, "The Princess Bride." The film follows a young woman, who after falling in love with a farm hand, is kidnapped by a group of criminals and must be reunited with her true love. This comedic love story would go on to be adapted to film.

Under the direction of Andrew Scheinman and Rob Reiner, "The Princess Bride" was adapted to film in 1987 and starred Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, and Mandy Patinkin. While the film didn't outshine at the box office, it gained a major following, which is why you're here! The Library of Congress wasn't the only one to recognize how significant this film was!

Miracle Max is portrayed by actor and comedian Billy Crystal. Crystal was born on March 14, 1948 in Long Beach, Long Island, New York.

Count Rugen offers this advice to Prince Humperdinck. The Prince is portrayed by actor Chris Sarandon.

Fezzik, who speaks this line, is portrayed by Andre the Giant. Andre died in 1993 at the age of 46 in Paris, France.
