The holiday season is a time of tradition, mistletoe, eggnog infused everything, family, friends, gingerbread overload and veggin' out in front of the warm, warm glow of the TV.

Who doesn't want to bop their heads along to Vince Guaraldi's jazzy musical riffs during "A Charlie Brown Christmas?" P.S. If your tree looks like Charlie Brown's, you're doing something wrong.

And just because we know that everyone's afraid that Ralphie is going to shoot his eye out, you don't have a reason to not watch "A Christmas Story" for the millionth time. Say it with me, kids! "Fra-jeee-lay!"

Speaking of famous lines, if you don't know what character says "Light the lamp, not the rat! Light the lamp, not the rat!" during "The Muppet Christmas Carol," then you've clearly slept through every  December since 1992.

"Jack Frost" is the 1998 film starring Michael Keaton and Kelly Preston. The film follows a father who is able to return to life as a snowman following his death.


When a storm witch threatens to put Santa out of business, a small reindeer overcomes the odds and saves the day.

"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: the Movie" is the 1998 film about a reindeer that gets bullied for having a red nose. He soon becomes the hero of the story when he's able to save Christmas. The film features voice overs from John Goodman, Whoopi Goldberg and Debbie Reynolds.


A young boy learns about the meaning of Christmas as he takes a train to the North Pole.

"The Polar Express" is a 2004 animated film about a young boy who travels the North Pole by train. The film features voice-overs by Tom Hanks and Daryl Sabara.


After both of their parents get divorced, a couple is forced to visit all of their parents on Christmas.

"Four Christmases" is a 2008 Christmas film starring Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn. The film follows the couple as they travel to each of their parents' houses for Christmas. The cast was packed with big-name stars besides Witherspoon and Vaughn: Robert Duvall, Jon Voight and Sissy Spacek were among them.

"The Muppet Christmas Carol" is the 1992 film based on the 1843 story, "A Christmas Carol," by Charles Dickens. In the Jim Henson Productions version, the muppets help Ebenezer Scrooge navigate his past, present and future to help him become a better man.

"A Christmas Story" is the 1983 film that focuses on a young boy, Ralphie, who tries to convince many that a B.B. gun is the best Christmas present. The film also stars a lovely and fragile leg lamp. If you're curious now, good! Go watch it, but don't shoot your eye out. The film stars Melinda Dillon and Darren McGavin.

"Snowglobe" is an ABC Family film starring Christina Milian and John Cooke. Milian plays a woman who loves Christmas. After receiving a snowglobe, she learns that she is able to travel back and forth between the snowglobe world and the real world. She soon finds herself stuck and must find a way to escape.


A young girl, living at the Plaza Hotel, tries to stop the marriage of the hotel owner's daughter.

"Eloise at Christmastime" is a 2003 film starring Sofia Vassilieva and Julie Andrews. The film follows a young girl, who, while living in the Plaza Hotel, gets into a mischief as she tries to stop a wedding.


After a woman finds out she has a terminal illness, she spends the holidays in Europe.

"Last Holiday" is a 2006 film starring Queen Latifah, LL Cool J and Gerard Depardieu. The film follows a modest woman, who after learning she has weeks to live, travels to Europe to spend her final days.


A young boy is accidentally left at his house during the holidays and must protect it from a pair of thieves.

"Home Alone" is the 1990 film starring Macaulay Culkin. He plays a young boy who is left 'home alone' during the holidays when his family forgets him. The film also stars Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern. Once you've seen it, you'll never look at aftershave the same way again.


After being raised with elves, a man is sent to find who he truly is.

"Elf" is a 2003 film starring Will Ferrell. In the film, he plays an over-sized elf who wreaks havoc on the rest of the community. He is then sent out into the world to find who he really is. The film also stars James Caan and Zooey Deschanel.

"Holiday in Handcuffs" is a 2007 ABC Family film starring Melissa Joan Hart and Mario Lopez. The film follows a painter, who kidnaps a customer at the restaurant she works at after her breakup. The goal? To bring him home to her parents for the holidays.


A young lawyer decides to represent an old man who has been institutionalized after claiming to be the real Santa Claus.

Maureen O'Hara and John Payne star in the 1947 film, "Miracle on 34th Street." The film follows a young female lawyer who tries to help an old man who claims to be Santa Claus.

"The Santa Clause" is a 1994 film starring Tim Allen. He plays a man, who, after accidentally causing the death of Santa, takes over the job himself.

Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas" follows Jack Skellington as he tries to bring Christmas to Halloween Town in a stop-motion animated musical. The film features voice overs from Chris Sarandon, Danny Elfman and Catherine O'Hara.


A group of friends reunite for the holidays after 15 years.

"The Best Man Holiday" is a 2013 Christmas film that acts as the sequel to the 1999 film, "The Best Man." Following the characters of the first film, we watch as the friends reunite after 15 years. The film stars an ensemble cast that includes: Morris Chestnut, Taye Diggs, Regina Hall, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan and Nia Long.

"Christmas Cupid" was a made-for-TV Christmas film starring Christina Milian, Ashley Benson and Chad Michael Murray. The film came out in 2010 on ABC Family (now Freeform.)
