$100 just doesn't cut it at the grocery store anymore, now does it? Back in the day, and we're talking about the 1970s here, you could get two carts filled with items and still walk out with some change. Today, depending on what you're buying, not even one-quarter of the cart will be filled. So taking all of that into consideration, we want to find out just how much you'd be able to get for your money in the '70s. Better yet, we want you to tell us the price of some of the most common '70s grocery items.
From baby lotion to dog food and ground beef to fresh grapes, we want to see how much you remember about the prices of groceries almost 50 years ago. So, we're going to show you some pictures of the grocery items that we've chosen, along with some possible prices of how much they could have cost. It will be your job to correctly choose the price that goes with the item.
It won't be easy, so we're giving you some hints. And just remember that prices were much lower than they are today. So, if you're ready to try your hand at the price guessing game, let's get started.
