About This Quiz

There are nearly 200 independent countries in the world, and each of them has a flag. Each flag is designed with a specific meaning which is unique to its associated country. Everything, from the colors and symbols which are used to the quantity and amount of space that they take up, holds significance.

These flags are seen on flagpoles at government buildings, as well as at the homes of the civilians. During their flag and independence day celebrations, people can be seen wearing their flag's colors in order to show their patriotism.

Some flags may be more recognizable than others, some of which include the United States, Brazil, China, India, the United Kingdom, Canada and Germany. There are also those which were designed not too long ago because the country recently gained its independence. Some flags also incorporate their former sovereign country's state into their new flag.

How well do you know the flags of the world? Will the results show that you were paying close attention in geography class, or will this quiz have you scratching your head, wondering if the red, white and blue flag that you see belongs to France, Paraguay, the Netherlands or the Czech Republic?
