About This Quiz

Science fiction, or Sci-Fi, is a genre of fiction that deals with things that are often imagined, such as aliens, magic and monsters. Most often, it deals with science and the things that surround it, which include alien life, time travel, space adventures, and technology. This genre explores all of this and more and has created a legacy of movies, television shows, and books.

The genre has been around for a long time (although the name was only coined around the '50s) because humans are creatures who love speculation. With speculation came a plethora of abstract ideas. Some of these include the following: that we weren't the only beings in the galaxy, that robots were capable of their own thought, that animals are much more intelligent than we give them credit for and that there are creatures on this planet and others, who want to destroy us. These theories have given rise to Sci-Fi greats such as The Terminator, Alien, Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Star Wars.

One of the reasons why these films are so great is because of their characters and we want to see if you can recognize them enough to name the movies they came from. Think you've got what it takes? Take the quiz now to find out!
