Pikachu is an Electric type Pokémon introduced in Generation 1. It is known as the Mouse Pokémon. Pikachu will only evolve into Raichu with the help of a thunderstone. However, the starter Pikachu in Pokémon Yellow will refuse to evolve into Raichu unless it is traded and evolved on another save file.

Seaking evolves from Goldeen, starting at level 33. Seaking is a very powerful swimmer that is found in rivers and streams. It can not only swim against a river's current, but it can also travel up waterfalls.

Vulpix evolves into Ninetales when exposed to a Fire Stone. Vulpix has a flame inside its body that never goes out, and it is capable of manipulating fire to such precision as to create floating wisps of flame. When the temperature outside increases, it will expel flames from its mouth to prevent its body from overheating.

Jigglypuff evolves from Igglybuff when leveled up with high friendship and evolves into Wigglytuff when exposed to a Moon Stone. From "The Song of Jigglypuff" through the end of the original series, a wild Jigglypuff followed Ash and his friends, intent on performing its trademark song without causing its audience to fall asleep. It rarely, if ever, succeeded. Jigglypuff would scribble all over the faces of anyone who fell asleep after hearing the song.

Lucario evolves from Riolu when leveled up with high friendship during the day. It can Mega Evolve into Mega Lucario using the Lucarionite. Lucario is considered to be prideful, and is extremely loyal to its Trainer. It also seems to have a natural sense of justice.

Herdier evolves from Lillipup starting at level 16 and evolves into Stoutland starting at level 32. Herdier made its debut in "Rematch at the Nacrene Gym!" under the ownership of Lenora. It battled against Ash and his Tepig, but it was eventually defeated by Tepig's Flame Charge.

Octillery evolves from Remoraid starting at level 25. Octillery is a relaxed Pokémon who loves fuss from its Trainer. In the wild, it will spurt ink at predators to protect its young from danger.

Granbull evolves from Snubbull starting at level 23. Despite its fierce appearance, it is actually very timid. Unless Granbull is startled, it will not bite indiscriminately. If attacked, it will flail about to fend off its attacker.

Nidorina is the evolved form of a female Nidoran. She will evolve into a Nidoqueen when exposed to a moon stone.

Sudowoodo evolves from Bonsly when leveled up while knowing Mimic. Sudowoodo disguises itself as a tree and stands along paths to avoid being attacked. Its camouflage fails in the winter, as its forelegs remain green, unlike real trees.

Purugly evolves from Glameow starting at level 38. Purugly attempts to make itself look larger and more intimidating by cinching its waist with its forked tail. It barges into the nests of other Pokémon and frightens them off, so Purugly can claim the nest as its own.

Ludicolo evolves from Lombre when exposed to a Water Stone. It is the final form of Lotad. Ludicolo is a bipedal Pokémon that appears to be a mixture of a pineapple and a duck. There is a green sombrero-like growth on its head that is similar to a lily pad.

Staravia evolves from Starly starting at level 14 and evolves into Staraptor starting at level 34. Staravia lives near forests and fields, where it hunts for bug Pokémon. Aware of its own weakness, it forms flocks of its own kind and cries noisily if left on its own.

Lopunny evolves from Buneary when leveled up with high friendship. It can Mega Evolve into Mega Lopunny using the Lopunnite. As Mega Lopunny, its personality drastically changes, becoming extremely aggressive with wild fighting instincts.

Boldore evolves from Roggenrola starting at level 25 and evolves into Gigalith when traded. It searches for underground wells in the caves where it lives.

Altaria evolves from Swablu starting at level 35. It can Mega Evolve into Mega Altaria using the Altarianite. Mega Altaria has more extensive cloud-like plumage, with a large, fluffy mass extending from its back. The feathers have grown as a self-protective measure, and they glimmer with an iridescent sheen.

Garchomp evolves from Gabite starting at level 48. It is the final form of Gible. When Garchomp Mega Evolves, it grows in size and several of its features become more angular, including its head and shoulders.

Diggersby evolves from Bunnelby starting at level 20.The other four limbs growing from Diggersby's round, grey torso are small in comparison to the ears. The fur of the upper paws is white, while the feet are brown.

Lairon is a stocky, armored Pokémon with four short legs. Lairon smashes its steely body against others in battle over territory, and shows off its strength with the size of sparks it creates by ramming into rocks. Lairon evolves from Aron at level 32 and moves onto Aggron at level 42.

Gurdurr evolves from Timburr starting at level 25 and evolves into Conkeldurr when traded. It is known to usually carry an I-beam girder in its arms. The steel frame is used to train its muscles, and Gurdurr boasts about its muscles with its comrades. It is so strong that it won't even be moved if it is attacked by a group of professional wrestlers. It is usually found near construction sites.

Kingdra evolves from Seadra when traded holding a Dragon Scale. It is the final form of Horsea. The yawn of a sleeping Kingdra is powerful enough to create undercurrents capable of destroying small ships. Should it decide to emerge from the depths of the ocean, Kingdra's strength can create large whirlpools and sea-born tornadoes on the surface. Because of its immense power, Kingdra often hibernates deep in uninhabited areas of the sea to rest and build up its energy.

Swellow evolves from Taillow starting at level 22. An impressive dive-bomber, it will never miss its target. Additionally, it takes great pride in its glossy plumage and often cleans the wings of other Swellow.

Sharpedo evolves from Carvanha starting at level 30. It can Mega Evolve into Mega Sharpedo using the Sharpedonite‎. Sharpedo can shoot out a jet of water, which allows it to swim 75 to 80 miles per hour. However, it is unable to swim long distances. It is feared and known as Bully of the Sea, or Gangs of the Sea as a group, due to its sharp teeth.

Gengar evolves from Haunter when traded. It is the final form of Gastly. It can Mega Evolve into Mega Gengar using the Gengarite. Gengar has the ability to hide perfectly in the shadow of any object, granting it exceptional stealth. However, Gengar's body acts as a heat sink.

Noivern evolves from Noibat starting at level 48. From its ears, Noivern releases ultrasonic waves, which can be strong enough to shatter a large boulder. It uses these waves to freely navigate through darkness, allowing it to easily ambush prey under cover of night. Noivern is known to be extremely combative toward anything that wanders too close to it. It loves eating fruit; thus, approaching it with fruit helps to keep it calm.

Dewgong evolves from Seel starting at level 34. It lives on icebergs adrift in frigid ocean waters. It thrives in lower temperatures, becoming increasingly active as the weather gets colder.

Grovyle evolves from Treecko starting at level 16 and evolves into Sceptile starting at level 36. Its leafy appearance allows it to be camouflaged in the forests where it lives. These leaves are also used in its former signature move, Leaf Blade.

Cherrim evolves from Cherubi starting at level 25. Cherrim waits quietly as a bud for a ray of sunlight. When it is hit with strong sunlight, it blooms and absorbs the rays with its entire body. It quickly changes from quiet to excitable and active. It will attempt to make up for everything it had to endure as a bud while the sunlight lasts. Once the light is gone, Cherrim folds back into a bud.

Noctowl evolves from Hoothoot starting at level 20. Noctowl is a nocturnal Pokémon. It has exceptional hearing and eyesight, can fly silently, and can turn its head at a 180° angle to increase its intellect.

Dewott evolves from Oshawott starting at level 17 and evolves into Samurott starting at level 36. Its forelimbs have three fingers on each black paw. Around its waist is a large, dark blue, fringed arrangement of fur, with two scalchops on the thighs. These scalchops are detachable, and Dewott trains to use several techniques with them. Its feet and flat tail are black.

Butterfree evolves from Metapod starting at level 10. It is the final form of Caterpie. Butterfree's wings are covered with poisonous powders that fall off continuously as it flies. This powder repels water, enabling it to gather honey even in the rain. Butterfree will roam up to six miles from its nest in search of honey, which it carries with the hairs of its legs.

Swadloon evolves from Sewaddle starting at level 20 and evolves into Leavanny when leveled up with high friendship. On its back are the veins of the leaf, as well as a bit at the bottom tip of the cloak resembling a rounded tail. Swadloon lives on the forest floor and converts fallen leaves into nourishment, which helps the surrounding plant life grow.

Vanilluxe evolves from Vanillish starting at level 47. It is the final form of Vanillite. On the back of its two heads there are many small ice crystals. Vanilluxe ingests large quantities of water, which it uses to create internal snow clouds. When angered, it expels a powerful blizzard.

Monferno evolves from Chimchar starting at level 14 and evolves into Infernape starting at level 36. The flame on Monferno's tail has several purposes. It can be controlled to keep opponents at an ideal distance or stretched in order to make Monferno appear larger. The size of its flame, in combination with the brightness of its facial marking, indicates this Pokémon’s position in its pack.

Houndoom evolves from Houndour starting at level 24. It can Mega Evolve into Mega Houndoom using the Houndoominite. In a Houndoom pack, the one with its horns raked sharply towards the back serves a leadership role. Leadership is determined by fights within the pack. Its gut is full of toxins, which are used to create fire.

Bastiodon evolves from Shieldon starting at level 30, after it is revived from an Armor Fossil. Bastiodon's cream yellow eyes are partially obscured by the nasal spike and spaced-out tusks. Its thick, cream yellow body is further protected by a gray ridge and dark gray plates on its back, jagged growths on its legs, and a plated tail. Despite its rough, intimidating appearance, Bastiodon is surprisingly docile, caring, and feeds on grass and Berries. If a herd of Bastiodon is attacked, the adults will line up in a wall around their young.

Blaziken evolves from Combusken starting at level 36. It is the final form of Torchic. Blaziken has strong, muscular legs that give it great lower body strength. This lower body strength helps its kicking and jumping abilities. Blaziken's wrists have gray wristband-like markings capable of producing a tuft of fire above them. Blaziken can also make flames spout from its ankles.

Banette evolves from Shuppet starting at level 37. It can Mega Evolve into Mega Banette using the Banettite. Banette is a dark gray, doll-like Pokémon that is possessed by pure hatred. It has three short spikes on its head and a long zigzagging ribbon trailing off the back of its head. A zipper acts as its mouth, and it has purplish-pink eyes with slit pupils. Its long, flat arms have three-fingered hands, while its legs are short and stubby.

Quagsire evolves from Wooper starting at level 20. Quagsire is carefree and sluggish by nature. An unintelligent Pokémon, it tends to bump its head inadvertently while swimming and seems not to care.

Whimsicott evolves from Cottonee when it is exposed to a Sun Stone. Whimsicott can manipulate its body to pass through cracks, no matter how narrow. Because of this, Whimsicott is a notorious prankster, moving things and leaving cotton balls behind. It also can ride through whirlwinds.

Alakazam evolves from Kadabra when traded. It is the final form of Abra. It wields a silver spoon in each hand, which act as amplifiers for its psychic abilities. Alakazam is able to lower the accuracy of its opponents by bending the spoons it wields, using its signature move, Kinesis.

Porygon2 evolves from Porygon when traded holding an Up-Grade, and evolves into Porygon-Z when traded holding a Dubious Disc. It was upgraded to work in space, although its inability to fly limits this ability. It is artificially intelligent and is capable of learning new behaviors on its own. As a result, it will sometimes perform motions or abilities that are not in its programming.

Goodra evolves from Sliggoo starting at level 50, when leveled up during rain in the overworld. Rain instigated by Rain Dance, Drizzle or Primordial Sea will not trigger this evolution. It is the final form of Goomy. It is very affectionate and, when it hugs its Trainer, leaves them covered in goo.

Wobbuffet evolves from Wynaut starting at level 15. Wobbuffet is usually a docile Pokémon that will never attack first. However, when it is attacked, it will inflate its body and initiate a counterstrike. When two or more of this Pokémon meet, they will attempt to outlast each other in a battle of endurance. However, since neither is able to attack, they may compete to see which can last without food. Because of its overprotective nature regarding its tail and hatred of light, Wobbuffet lives in dark caves.

Ampharos evolves from Flaaffy starting at level 30. It is the final form of Mareep. It can Mega Evolve into Mega Ampharos using the Ampharosite. The orb on its tail can shine so bright that it can be seen from space. People have used the light as a beacon, or to send signals across the ocean. Ampharos is generally found in grasslands.

Cradily evolves from Lileep starting at level 40, after it is revived from a Root Fossil. In order to prevent being washed away by ocean tides, this Pokémon has a heavy body. In ancient times it built its nest in the shallows of warm seas. When the tide went out, it was seen on beaches.

Quilladin evolves from Chespin starting at level 16 and evolves into Chesnaught starting at level 36. Quilladin is not aggressive and never starts fights, although it is known to exercise its lower body by running into other Quilladin. When it is forced to defend itself, it relies on its shell to deflect attacks, before counterattacking with its sharp quills.

Poliwhirl evolves from Poliwag starting at level 25. It evolves into Poliwrath when exposed to a Water Stone or Politoed when traded holding a King's Rock. The swirl on its belly undulates slowly, and staring at it induces drowsiness.

Abomasnow evolves from Snover starting at level 40. It can Mega Evolve into Mega Abomasnow using the Abomasite. Abomasnow lives in snowy mountains and appears only when snow flowers bloom. Once the flowers die, it retreats to isolated areas.

Cofagrigus evolves from Yamask starting at level 34. The coffin is said to be made of gold. Ancient legends once told that Cofagrigus could eat nearby humans and turn their lifeless bodies into mummies. It lives in tombs and ruins.
