If you haven't heard of KonMari, well, that's a whole separate issue. But if you have, and you've binged "Tidying Up" on Netflix, and you know the stylings and rules of Marie Kondo's organization method, then you more than likely know what you need to be doing in order to keep your stuff organized. This method can be applied to clothes, books and even home decor. The one place that people may not think KonMari applies is to your makeup bag. How could it? After all, you can't fold your makeup like you do clothes, and you don't line items up like you do books.
Basically, the way to KonMari your makeup bag is to take everything out of it and lay it down on a flat surface so you can see everything. Then, go through each item to first make sure it isn't expired. Even if it brings you joy, expired makeup can't make it through the process. Once everything you have is up to date, pick up every piece and see if it brings you joy. Like, real joy. If it does, it can stay. If it doesn't it has to go. Multiples of the same product must also go.
