About This Quiz

Each major period in human history has been highlighted by some unique characteristics and trends. People's lifestyles varied from the simple but brutal conditions of ancient times to the modern day world of wonderful conveniences, paired up with complexities that previous generations couldn't even imagine.

If you move at a very fast pace in life and you're on your computer or smartphone most of the day, there's a good chance that we may be keeping you right here in the modern age. Should you tell us that you're a bit of a loner and you play video games most of the day, we're almost assured of going in this direction for you.

On the other hand, if the modern age has really got you down and you yearn for a more peaceful and simple existence, we're likely to be taking you back in time. The famous people, events and inventions that you feel the strongest connection to, these will tell us a lot about the period that you're sure to excel in.

For example, if you tell us that the wheel is the invention that has the biggest impact on your daily life and that you feel a strong call to visit the pyramids in Egypt, we're likely going to lean towards placing you in ancient times.

I generally move pretty slow, but I can kick it into a higher gear in an emergency.

Yes, that's totally my mantra in life.

I enjoy some simple pleasures, but I actually do prefer a little excitement in my world.
I've given up on simplifying things. Modern life is just complicated and I accept it.

Yes, I will only work for myself.

That's always been a dream of mine. I hope I can make it happen.
There are some stressful days when it sounds appealing, but I don't think it's really for me.

Of course, my whole life is devoted to getting there one day.

It's a nice concept, but I'm not sure what I think about the reality of it.

No, that's not my style at all.

Yeah, but it has nothing to do with religion.
Yeah, I get that all the time.

It's not like I've never heard that before, but it's been a long time.

Would you consider yourself to be more optimistic or pessimistic?

I'm an eternal optimist. The glass is always half-full.

I'm more of a realist. I hope for the best, but I prepare for the worst.
I'm a pessimist. Murphy's Law is the rule of this world.

That totally depends on my mood.

Where do you think humanity will be in another century?

Humanity will be extinct in another hundred years.

If we don't kill ourselves, we should accomplish some astounding things.
We'll likely be colonizing Mars by then.

We'll be here, but I don't think much will have changed.

Would you be interested in going on a manned mission to Mars?

I'm all about it. Bring it on.

No thanks, I'm completely content here on Earth.
I don't know if I'd have the guts to go, but I'd follow the mission very closely.

That's a fool's errand. I don't want to support such foolishness.
