About This Quiz

Almost everyone uses slang at one point in life, and Canadians are no exception. Sure, we say the usual slang terms like "eh" and "Timmies." There's a whole world of slang in our country that can be downright wacky sounding to anyone who doesn't live here. If you tell use which slang you use regularly, then we'll guess which province you live in!

While there is general slang that is widely used throughout Canada, there is also regional slang that can be found in certain provinces or territories. For example, "eh" is used in many places around Canada, but "b'y" is a slang term more commonly heard in the Maritimes. There are also slang terms for cities in certain regions. "The Peg" is one that is used for Winnipeg, Manitoba, whereas "Hollywood North" can be used for Vancouver. Sometimes, it can be easy to tell where someone is from just by the way that they speak and the words that they use. If you pay close enough attention, that is.
