They are a little noisy for me.

I really really love fireworks! I wish we could set them off year round!

What is your favorite part of camping?

I love getting away from the hustle and bustle of normal life.

I love seeing America's most beautiful natural features.
I love doing fun activities and finding new places to hang out!

I love learning the history of the land, pioneer, and Native American stories alike.

How do you show your patriotism?

I volunteer with the scouts and the park services.

I raise an American flag on my flag pole at home.
I have a whole outfit of American flag clothes!

I donate to charities that support our veterans.

When you have the afternoon off in the summer, what do you do?

Get a buddy to go for a hike.

Stop by the grocery store to make a special meal for everyone.
Get a friend to go see a new movie!

Walk dogs at the animal shelter.

Where do you take your nap on a hot afternoon?

In my hammock, between the largest trees I can find.

On my porch. I have a great bench in the shade.
I lay in the sun on my beach towel so I can tan!

In my rocking chair on the front porch.

How do you feel about summer thunderstorms?

They ruin my hiking plans sometimes, but for the most part, I don't mind them.

As long as the power doesn't go out, they are alright.
I love dancing in the rain, as long as the lightning doesn't get too close!

I like to listen and watch the rain come down from the shelter of my covered porch.

What kind of vacation are you planning?

Going to summit Mt. Rainier! I hear it is beautiful this time of year.

We are going to a dude ranch to ride horses and fly fish everyday.
Heading to Orlando for the amusement parks!

Flying to Washington D.C. to see all the historic monuments and museums!

How do you protect yourself from the summer sun?

All of my clothes have SPF protection built in.

I wear a nice big floppy sun hat.
Sunglasses and some tanning lotion are fine.

Just my baseball cap to protect my face.

What vegetable are you going to grow this summer?

Jalapenos

Corn is a vegetable right?
I don't really have time for that.

Tomatoes!
