These differences can come in the form of obvious things, like their size and populations, or more intricate factors, like their economies and their geography. Some states, like Alaska, Montana and Texas, are all larger than numerous countries around the world. Other states, like California, have economies that surpass countries like France and the United Kingdom.
We know that you can point at a colorful map and identify all of the states. Everyone knows the names of the 50 states - even kids in elementary school could easily list every single one of them.
