Have you been into "Sword and Shield" lately? Well, put this new Pokemon game down, because today, we're going to blast to the past with some old-school Pokemon versions. We're not talking about Diamond, Y, Ruby or Emerald either because we want to see if you remember anything about the Generation 1 series!

Generation 1 was the introduction to the Pokemon universe. With over 160 moves, 151 types of Pokemon and plenty of towns and cities to explore, the Kanto region was full of adventures and friendships for all users. But before you battled gym leaders or caught wild Pokemon in the Safari Zone, you had to choose your starter Pokemon. This was your first major decision in the game and one that had to be considered very carefully. After all, it's important to build your Pokemon team around your starter buddy, as well as to be strategic when it comes to your first gym leader: Brock, who specializes in rock-type creatures. For example, your fire starter might not be effective against rock-type Pokemon. Still, it will definitely come in handy against grass-type creatures (especially when it comes to the gym leader Erika in Celadon City).
