According to scientists and people who know the majestic history of our four-legged friends, they say dogs were domesticated somewhere between 18000 and 32000 years ago. That's a pretty crazy big range of time but regardless of whether it's closer the one or the other it means dogs have been man's best friend for a heck of a long time. From their beginnings as wild beasts of the woods that found their way to human camps and got used to the companionship people offered, these little creatures have come a long way. Who could have ever predicted that one day those ferocious wild beasts from the forest would become adorable little pugs or lazy old hound dogs?
Millions of people around the world share their lives with dogs. Some just have one and some have a whole kennel's worth. Some people just wish they could have a dog and have to endure life with a cat.
