About This Quiz

The South is famous for its charm and hospitality. It's also a great place to enjoy some historic architecture and pleasant weather. And, of course, if you're there with all those sunny days and charmingly hospitable architecture, you may as well have a bite to eat at the same time, right? Of all the regions of the U.S., none of them come close to the food of the South. Honestly, do you even know what the food of the North is? Or what East coast cuisine might be? Sure, you can get a few regional favorites here and there, but Southern food is where it's at!

Every kind of barbecued meat you can imagine, some hearty and cheesy mac and cheese, fried okra, shrimp and grits, collard greens and some homemade fried chicken! Southern food is big on flavor, big on comfort, and maybe not so big on being low fat or super nutritious, but who cares? That can be for some other cuisine to worry about. When it comes to pure indulgence and the kind of food that makes you feel like home while filling you up, you need the South. But how close to the South are you? Where do you call home? Tell us about your Southern food experiences, and we'll tell you what state you can home!
