Shimmery eye shadows, when used over the entire eyelid, can look extremely shiny and, well, over the top. Use shimmery eye shadow only on the inner eye area, and a matte shadow for the rest to make your eyes sparkle.

Black is a no-no if you have blond hair and blue eyes. Only wear black if you have a darker skin tone, or else you can look very harsh.

No sharp lines. But what you can do is draw the outline and then fill in your entire lips with a lip liner that suits your lipstick shade and then cover it with lipstick.

Face powder emphasizes fine lines and wrinkles. It is best to use it only on your T-zone, and try and avoid it completely as you age.

This is what happens when you put on blush without shaking the excess off the brush and putting it on your face. Also if you've put it on without having some foundation on your face, it will hard to blend and make it look natural.

Sunglasses can actually protect the skin around your eyes from the aging effects of the sun. This means fewer wrinkles, as well as protection against cancer and cataracts.
