In 2005, NBC introduced you to the world of Dunder Mifflin, but what you may not know is that the history of this paper company didn't begin in Scranton, Pennsylvania. 

It began in at the Wernham Hogg paper company in Slough, England! Originally written by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, they adapted their UK sitcom for a United States audience. They traded in David Brent for Michael Scott, Tim Canterbury for Jim Halpert, Gareth Keenan for Dwight Schrute, and Dawn Tinsley for Pam Beesley.

A typical episode of The Office was 20-and-a-half minutes and ran in a half-hour time slot. The first season consisted of just six episodes. The final season ran for a full 25 episodes.
