The Ultimate Marvel Villain Quiz

There are villains, and then there are supervillains. Savage as they come, Thanos is def the latter. We first meet this big baddie in "The Avengers," which hit theaters in 2012. Tbh, Thanos had us shook from the get-go.

Haters like to write them off as "just" superhero movies, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe has had many of its characters played by actors with serious chops. Take Cate Blanchett as Hela for just one example.

Nothing says "bad dude" like a salvager-turned-arms-trafficker. Tbh, we knew Vulture, played by Michael Keaton, was villain material as soon as we laid eyes on him. Um, that creepy green stare says it all.

No cap, it totally weirded us out to see Jake Gyllenhaal playing a villain. He seems like such a nice dude! Maybe that's how he managed to make Mysterio seem like a nice guy for most of the movie.

Ego was like the GOAT playboy, so of course, he was Peter Quill's dad. But, like, not cool at all that he gave Star-Lord's mom cancer so she wouldn't distract him from his ultimate goal of repopulating every universe ever. Ego makes our last Tinder date not look so bad.

We knew we'd give too much away if we called the "Avengers" sequel by it's actual name ... "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Actor James Spader faced off against the Avengers and played the man of metal.

Ghost, played by actress Hannah John-Kamen, has freaky powers ... even by Marvel villain standards! In "Ant-Man and the Wasp," she shows off her ability to phase-shift through solid objects making molecular structure instability seem pretty lit!

If spoilers get you salty, you may want to skip to the next question ... Loki dies "Avengers: Infinity War." Yeah, Thanos doesn't discriminate between killing superheroes and villains.

The Marvel Universe has a few cases of bad guys turned, well, not so bad. Our fave has to be Yondu Udonta. Even though he was always threatening to let his crew eat Peter Quill, you knew he had a serious soft spot for the little earthling he'd decided to take under his wing!

In both the Thor comics and, like, actual Norse mythology, there's a race of bad dudes called the Giants of Joutunheim. They're also known as the Frost Giants. Brrr, sounds chilly, right? Gives new meaning to "Ice ice, baby"!

Dude, Loki pulls no punches as the villain in "The Avengers." His bad behavior makes it tough for his brother, Thor, to defend him. Thor tries to convince Loki to return to Asgard, but Loki decides to keep making trouble.

He may be strong AF and able to regenerate like the Hulk, but, morally, Abomination couldn't be more different than our favorite big green superhero. In "The Incredible Hulk," Abomination's real name is Emil Blonsky. Actor Tim Roth played this particular villain.

Ugh, don't you hate when you think you're doing such a good job, but then, you realize Nazis have infiltrated your organization? In "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," we learned HYDRA had been running SHIELD for years. OOF, ancient cults are the worst.

Oh, Dormammu, you giant disembodied head, you. Seriously, even though he's one of the most powerful villains in all of the Marvel Universe, that's essentially all Dormmamu is in "Doctor Strange." At least Benedict Cumberbatch gave him a really good growl.

There's a lot of focus on Yellowjacket in "Ant-Man," but we all know the real villain is Dr. Bill Foster. Tbh, anyone with the "Dr." title is usual evil in the MCU. It may seem, at first, like he's just trying to help Ghost, but as good as those intentions are, he's still fine with her doing a bunch of really bad stuff!

Yuh, that big blue baddie Ronan belongs to the Kree race. We guess that's why he's blue. In "Guardians of the Galaxy," he's all about returning the Kree to power and gets the go ahead from Thanos do does his worst. But, Ronan does have Nebula and Gamora watching over him.

As if "Black Panther" wasn't already dope enough, people went wild for Michael B. Jordan as Killmonger. To be honest, we thought he deserved an Oscar nod for bringing such a complex character to life.

Ebony Maw is like the OG spin doctor. While Thanos is out killing people and destroying worlds, he's there telling them how lucky they are to be "saved." Haha, we'll pass on that, fam. Can't say we were sad to see him die in "Infinity War"!

None other than THE Robert Redford played the evil Alexander Pierce in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." His performance was absolutely brilliant, but would you honestly expect anything less? We also saw Redford reprise his role when Pierce appeared briefly in "Avengers: Endgame."

Okay, the Marvel Universe definitely needs more female villains. Come on: Hela in "Thor: Ragnarok" is evil AF! As if her super villain-y actions and overall demeanor weren't enough, she has a wolf by her side. Yeah, an actual wolf!

No cap, we've had a nightmare or two about Red Skull. As if his spooky skeleton face isn't enough, they made him red too! Oh yeah, and the dude is big evil. We first meet him in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," but that's just the beginning. Red Skull also appears in "Infinity War" and "Endgame"

In "Guardians of the Galaxy," we heard Ronan called "Ronan the Accuser" on several different occasions. That probably has something to do with him wanting to punish the Nova Corps of Xander for killing his family. Basically, he's waging a genocidal war against the Xandarians.

"Punisher: War Zone" was many Marvel movies ago, but we still remember Jigsaw. After all, who can forget a Mafia killer, especially when his face is all stitched up like that? Yikes, we'd hate to meet that guy in a dark alley.

Thanos is a larger-than-life character, and it required a serious actor to make sure he didn't just seem like a caricature of himself. Tbh, we can't imagine anyone other than Josh Brolin in the role. Dude looks like he's down to destroy a universe or two!

After a lit performance in "The Wrestler," Jon Favreau tapped Mickey Rourke to play the villain in "Iron Man 2." Apparently, Rourke is the one who demanded Whiplash had that random-AF bird.

We've got to throw it all the way back to "The Avengers" for our little intro to the supervillain of supervillains, Thanos. Can you believe that movie came out in 2012? Tbh, he didn't seem like that big of a deal until "Infinity Wars."

The manager of Stark Industries and Tony's father's old business partner Obadiah Stane is not happy when Tony decides to take the company in a new direction. He ends up designing his own Iron Man suit (Iron Monger) and fighting Tony.

If you remembered Darren Cross was the evil Yellowjacket in "Ant-Man," then knowing his getup was yellow was probably a no brainer. Of all the insects we'd hate to see as villains, a yellowjacket is definitely one of the most terrifying.

Let "Iron Man 3" serve as yet another reminder to be nice to losers! Aldrich Killian goes from nerd with bad teeth to super hot hawtie (who is, like, also a total psychopath). He's slick and smarmy, and OH, we hate him so much.

While all the Marvel villains have their fair share of kills to their names, Dr. Doom takes the top spot. In the comics, the "Secret Wars" storyline revealed Dr. Doom had destroyed thousands of universes. Wow, Thanos destroying half the universe doesn't seem quite as impressive now.

OOF, Carol, hunny, you've got your work cut out for you! In "Captain Marvel," Captain Marvel faces off against Talos. Talos is Skrull, a race of shape-shifting aliens. Played by Ben Mendelsohn, Talos manages to infiltrate SHIELD.

If you paid attention in history class, you may have recognized "Winter Soldier" as a play on words from a Thomas Paine essay. The American political activist wrote about "summertime soldiers" who deserted the Valley Forge camp when the going got tough.

We first meet Crossbones in "The Winter Soldier," but he's just Brock Rumlow, the commander of SHIELD's counter-terrorism unit ... or so it seems. Later, we learn he's actually a double-agent! Can anyone just be who they say they are?

Tbh, Korath doesn't get a whole lot of screen time in "Guardians of the Galaxy." But this secondary villain does provide a few unintentionally funny moments. Peter Quill is hoping his Star-Lord nickname will catch on, but in the opening scenes, Korath has never heard of him.

We know Magneto by a few different names. In the films, he goes by Erik Leshner, while we've also seen him also Max Eisenhardt in the comics. Whoever he is, Magneto started going by Magneto after his first wife, Maga, died.
