About This Quiz

Tim Hortons has become such a pervasive symbol of Canadian history and culture that the term "double-double" — a Tim Hortons-specific phrase for a coffee with two creams and two sugars — officially became of a part of the Canadian Oxford English Dictionary in 2004. Named after hockey legend Tim Horton, it may surprise you to learn that the chain got its start selling hamburgers. The switch to coffee and donuts didn't happen until 1964 at its first official location in Hamilton, Ontario (where customers could buy a coffee for 10 cents and a donut for 69 cents.) Tim Hortons dominates the coffee-and-baked-goods market in Canada — the franchise can now be found in 13 other countries besides Canada, including the United States, the United Arab Emirates, China, the UK and Ireland.

If you grew up in Canada, you probably enjoyed donuts, muffins, coffee, hot chocolate and iced cappuccinos as part of your childhood (in addition to breakfast sandwiches, grilled wraps and yogurt parfaits.) The question is, did Tim Hortons continue to be a part of your life as an adult? Maybe you've dropped your Timmies habit for good or maybe it's stronger than ever! In this quiz we want you to tell us all about your coffee-drinking and donut-eating habits (and whether or not you can go a full day without a trip through the drive-thru.)
