About This Quiz
Competition brings out the best in the world in companies. There's Big Mac versus Whopper. There's Pepsi versus Coke. For automotive enthusiasts, there's Mustang versus Camaro versus Challenger. This muscle car competition between the American "Big Three" has been fought since the '60s, starting with the Mustang and then echoed with rivals. In the first year of production, only 220,000 Camaros were produced and bought, nearly half the number of Mustangs produced that same year.
Camaros gained a few different reputations across the span of its 50 years of production. In the late '60s, they were competitive muscle cars that held their own on the drag strip. During the oil embargo, federal regulations took away the high output powerhouse of a V8, but drastic aerodynamic changes in styling compensated for what was taken away. The '80s rolled around, and IROC was king, complete with aftermarket spoilers and louver windows. Fast forward to 2010, and the Camaro was again competitive in the muscle car world. Every decade of the Camaro was unique, but with which one do you resonate the most?
