Whether you look like Joan Crawford or Elizabeth Taylor, we all have a specific face type that makes us unique. Maybe you have a round face with hooded eyes that would be perfect for the Roaring '20s era. Or perhaps you're more suited for the 1940s, a time known for orange lip hues, pointy nails and dark foundation shades.
This is the beauty of past makeup eras, as each decade is defined by certain trends, products and celebrities. For instance, the 1960s were known for the "mod look," which was perfected by Twiggy, who became popular for her model looks and acting abilities. This look consists of dark "spider lashes" and pale makeup colors. This also resulted in a more natural finish of the face, with most of the attention being focused on the eyes. Another classic era would be the 1970s, a decade that was known for shimmery eyeshadows, pearlized face powders and clear lip glosses. Bronzer also became a big deal, as this would give a person that coveted "sun-kissed glow" look. So no matter what you currently look like, there's a defining makeup era out there that is perfect for you. Let's find out what that is with this historical beauty quiz!
