The streaming wars are about as hot as they can get right now. Once upon a time, there was only Netflix and it dominated the landscape with an iron fist. But then came others like Hulu and Amazon Prime. More niche services like Shudder and CBS All Access showed up. And then came Disney+ as a strong Netflix competitor. Streaming services are so numerous and segmented now that they didn't necessarily end up simplifying how we watch things. When it was just one or two, they were an easy way to replace cable.
