Move over princesses because it is the princes' turn to be in the spotlight. In most of the Disney films, there are four types of characters: the princess, the sidekicks, the villains, and the heroes. Usually, the princes fall into the hero category but have been known to play many different roles including the villain who wants the throne for himself and on occasion, the one who needs to be saved. 

Whether they are the heirs to the throne or whether they married royalty, these teens and in some cases men, came from varying backgrounds. Aladdin, for instance, was a street thief and con artist before marrying Jasmine. Prince Adam and Prince Naveen were animals (a beast and a frog) before meeting Belle and Tiana respectively, and of course, there are those like Prince Eric and Charming who are your typical night in shining armor princes.
