About This Quiz

If you've clicked on this quiz, you're probably a fan of the world, and worlds, of Hayao Miyazaki. You've been on board since Castle of Cagliostro, and every time a new trailer hits the internet, you're all over it like soot sprites on a chance to shirk their duties. You're so much a fan, in fact, that you're thinking of getting ink done.
But what Studio Ghibli character is right for you? Which one are you enough like, to put on your body for decades? A tattoo's a lifelong choice, and if you want to declare your allegiance to Japan's greatest anime studio, it takes some serious thought beforehand.
Good luck for you, then, that you've clicked on this quiz! We'll guide you through questions that will help us figure out your personality, and who your Miyazaki spirit animal (or spirit human...or pig human...or catbus) really is. That tattoo will be around a long time, so it's important that you find the right character to pair up with.
So take to the skies-- on a dragon's back or in a seaplane - and test yourself to see what your perfect MIyazaki tattoo really is!
What's your idea of a relaxing day?
Oh, just hanging out. Maybe I'll see a friend, maybe I'll go for a walk, maybe pick a few flowers. Just see where the day takes me.
Probably lying on a hammock on a beach somewhere...
A day off from work would be nice, though I tend to be at work most of the time.
Day off? What's a day off? Someone's got to do my job...

Which of the following sounds like the best meal option?
I don't eat a lot, but a paleo diet with nuts, berries, and roots might suit me if I did.
Veal piccata, and a decent white wine to go with it.
I'll snatch a rice ball or two if I get the chance between shifts. Generally, though, I'm a little leery of the food around here.
Something tartare (raw).

How much sleep do you average a night?
Depends. Sometimes I work at night, and I also nap during the day.
Probably pretty normal, though different gigs call for different schedules.
Not much. Late to bed and early to rise keeps the gods - er, guests - healthy, wealthy, and wise.
Not a lot if I'm patrolling my turf.

How do you feel about children?
I love kids! They tend to love me, too. Love their imagination and their sense of wonder.
They're a pain. I live the single life.
Um, I don't know. I like the ones in my class...
Human ones? Blech. I have two brothers, but they aren't human.

It involves powder burns and possible wounds from edged weapons.

What's your relationship with your parents like?
Non-existent, but that doesn't bother me!
It was good. Pretty normal childhood and adolescence.
You've seen them?! I haven't seen them in ages. Don't even know if I'd recognize them...but I hope to catch up with them soon!
Good. Mom's a definite strong woman who knows what she wants, but I'm pretty tough, too.

Who needs a vacation? I'm easygoing enough that I don't really need one.
Somewhere with good food, good wine, and attractive people.

Yup! I'm happiest strolling in the woods, or popping into small towns that border forested areas.

Where else would I be?
