From the days of Drew Bledsoe and the unforgettable start of Tom Brady, to the long tenure of Ben Roethlisberger, and the incredible new era of Patrick Mahomes and Jared Goff, quarterbacks in the NFL have but one goal - to lead their teams to win after win to the ultimate victory in the Super Bowl. The New England Patriots selected Tom Brady as the 199th pick of the 2000 NFL draft. Since then, he has won six Super Bowls, four Super Bowl MVP awards and been named to the Pro Bowl 14 times!
Aaron Rodgers has been the quarterback of the Green Bay Packers since 2005. He led the team to Super Bowl XLV victory and has twice been named NFL MVP.
Patrick Mahomes was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs as the 10th overall pick in the 2017 draft. He spent his rookie season as backup to Alex Smith, but by his second season, he was named starting quarterback!

Matt Ryan was the third overall pick of the 2008 NFL draft. During his time with the Falcons, he has been named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, NFL MVP, and NFL Offensive Player of the Year. He has also been selected to the Pro Bowl four times.
After attending Mississippi State, Dak Prescott became the backup to Tony Romo in 2016. Upon Romo's season-ending injury, Prescott became the starter and was later named the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year!
Did you know that Philip Rivers was originally drafted by the New York Giants? He was immediately traded to the Chargers and has been their starting quarterback since 2006.

Ryan Tannehill was born in Lubbock, Texas, and attended Texas A&M. The Miami Dolphins selected him eighth overall in 2012 to become the 17th starting quarterback of the franchise.
Kirk Cousins played with the Redskins for five years before signing a three-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings worth $84 million! This is currently the highest-paying contract in NFL history.
Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2018 draft. In his rookie season, he helped lead the Ravens to a 10-6 season, placing first in the AFC North.

Born in Tampa, Florida, Matthew Stafford played football at Georgia before entering the 2009 draft. He was the first overall pick and in 2011, became the fourth quarterback in history to throw for 5,000 yards in a single season.
Jared Goff began his career in 2016 as the backup to Case Keenum. Halfway through that season, however, the Rams named him the starter. In 2018, he helped lead the team to its first Super Bowl appearance since the 2001 season.
Did you know that Russell Wilson played college football at both the University of Wisconsin and NC State? The Seahawks selected him in the third round of the 2012 draft. Analysts suggest the only reason for the delay was his height, 5 feet, 11 inches.

Blake Bortles' rookie contract of 2014 was worth $20.6 million guaranteed for four years. After three years, he led the team to its first round of playoffs since the 2007 season.

Ben Roethlisberger has led the Pittsburgh Steelers to two Super Bowl championships: XL and XLIII. So far in his career, he has thrown for 363 touchdowns and 194 interceptions.
In 2017, starter Carson Wentz suffered a season-ending injury which sent Nick Foles to the forefront. Foles went on to lead the Eagles to their third Super Bowl appearance and first Super Bowl title.

Nick Mullens' first appearance as San Francisco's starter ended in defeat by the Oakland Raiders. He finished the overall season with 2,277 passing yards, 13 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
After leading Clemson to a national championship in 2016, Deshaun Watson was selected 12th overall by the Houston Texans in 2017. In just two seasons, he has thrown for 5,864 passing yards and 45 touchdowns.
When starter Macus Mariota suffered an elbow injury, Blaine Gabbert stepped in as quarterback of the Tennessee Titans. He has a career record of 48 touchdowns and 47 interceptions.

Mitchell Trubisky became the starting quarterback of the Bears after coach John Fox benched Mike Glennon in 2017. Trubisky led the team to a 12-4 season in 2018, barely missing a trip to the NFC Championship by a missed field goal attempt.
Jameis Winston became the youngest player to ever with the Heisman Trophy during his years at Florida State. He later became the first overall pick of 2015 when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected him and offered him a four-year, $23.35 million contract with a $16.7 million signing bonus.
Rosen was named the Cardinals' starting quarterback in Week 4 of the 2018 seasons. Unfortunately, his rookie year did not go as well as planned. He finished with a 3-10 record, throwing for 11 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

Drew Brees began his career with the San Diego Chargers before signing with the New Orleans Saints in 2006. Since joining the Saints, Brees has led all NFL quarterbacks in touchdowns, passing yards and 300-yard games.
When Andy Dalton suffered a thumb injury in Week 12 of the 2018 season, Jeff Driskel came in to start the final five games. Unfortunately, he went 1-4 with five touchdowns and two interceptions.
Kyle Allen signed with the Carolina Panthers on April 28, 2018, as an undrafted free agent. He made his first NFL start in the final regular season game of the 2018 season against the New Orleans Saints. This stint, however, was short-lived as he was relieved by Garrett Gilbert in the fourth quarter following an injury!

Josh Allen signed a four-year, fully guaranteed $21 million contract with the Buffalo Bills on July 25, 2018. In his first year, Allen led the team to a 6-10 season record. Better luck next year!
Josh Johnson was signed by the Redskins on December 5, 2018. The team intended for him to serve as backup to Mark Sanchez after the injuries of Smith and McCoy. However, when Sanchez failed to perform, Johnson was named the starter and got his first NFL win on December 16, 2018.
