The True Blood TV show was adapted from Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse book series. It revolved around Sookie- a virgin waitress who managed to get tangled up in the supernatural world in her home, Bon Temps, Louisiana. Now her lovers are vampires, her boss is a shape shifter, her brother is a werewolf and she has fairy blood! And while the TV series loosely follows the books, it's just as interesting, especially now that we could add faces to the names of those we were reading about for so long.
