Many corporations and colleges will use a Myers-Briggs test to sort people into various personality types. With 16 different choices, you'd think that it would be pretty cut and dry, right? Have you ever taken that test and gotten a result that didn't feel like you? We have. It was then that we discovered Enneagram types. Instead of placing individuals into a shallow definition, an Enneagram test helps people find out where they fit best in society by using a system that combines several different ancient wisdom traditions, which gives an additional depth that other tests don't. It is with this depth that the spirit animal comes in.
Even though many Americans think that spirit animals are associated with Native American folklore, they are found around the world. This gives many more animals than just those located in North America. The Chinese spirit animals are represented in the Chinese zodiac, which includes dragons and snakes. The Celtic spirit animals throw a little whimsy into the mix with butterflies and unicorns.ÂÂ
